We are very safe and employ trained professional along with all the planning. We put into making sure your move or storage experience will be a great success, sometimes things can go wrong.

Many people have household insurance to protect their belongings whilst they are safe in your home, so it makes sense. We advise yours consider some form of self storage insurance during your move and storage as things may be at a higher risk during this time.

Certain household contents policies have clauses to cover some of the risks associated with moving but not all of them. Therefore you must consider a transit and self storage insurance policy.

Macy’s Mobile Storage can assist you in obtaining self storage insurance to cover your goods whilst your removal and storage are in process. Macy’s Mobile Storage is an authorised representative of Aldridge & Street, a division of Cowden (VIC) Pty Ltd (Australian Financial Services license 245658) a licensed insurance broker.

Should you chose to cover your goods with our self storage insurance policy your goods will be covered against damage covered by fire, lightning, impact, explosion, earthquake, aircraft, riots, strikes, malicious damage, storm, water and burglary resulting from forced entry.

Note that your goods are NOT covered for losses due to the consequence of war, terrorism or other military action, and accidental damage are not covered. Goods not stored in our storage modules (e.g. motor vehicles, caravans and boats) are not covered.

There is an excess of $200 for each claim.

Macy’s Mobile Self-Storage Insurance Options:

Option one Storage insurance only. For cover whilst your goods are in our storage facility only. Pricing is simple. You only pay $2 per month for each $1,000 of coverage for your goods.

Option two Transit and Storage Insurances. For cover door to door that’s whilst your goods are on their way to or from our store as well. Pricing is in addition to your monthly storage insurance and is a one-off payment at the commencement of your storage and will cover yours from start to finish of your storage contract. You only pay a one-off fee of $20 for each $1,000 cover you require.
